About me

Dr. Grace Torres-Hodges is a board-certified podiatric physician and surgeon who has provided personalized foot and ankle care to patients throughout Northwest Florida and South Alabama since establishing her independent practice in 2001. As one of the region's earliest adopters of the Direct Specialty Care model, she believes exceptional medical care begins with an unhurried physician-patient relationship built on trust, accessibility, and shared decision-making.

In 2013, Dr. Torres-Hodges became the first specialty physician in the area to opt out of all third-party insurance contracts, allowing her practice to focus entirely on individualized, transparent, and patient-centered care. This approach gives patients direct access to their physician while eliminating many of the administrative barriers that can interfere with quality healthcare.

Her practice provides comprehensive medical and surgical care for patients of all ages, with particular expertise in minimally invasive foot and ankle surgery, regenerative medicine, sports medicine, diabetic foot care, and the treatment of chronic pain and musculoskeletal conditions. By combining evidence-based medicine with advanced surgical techniques and regenerative therapies when appropriate, Dr. Torres-Hodges helps patients heal more efficiently and return to the activities they enjoy. She also provides expert care for travelers and seasonal residents visiting Northwest Florida's Gulf Coast, helping them stay active and healthy while away from home.

A nationally recognized speaker, educator, and advocate for independent medical practice, Dr. Torres-Hodges has mentored and taught medical students and residents directly and through organizations such as the Benjamin Rush Institute. She has been featured by KevinMD, Healthcare Americana, My DPC Story, Direct Care Movement, Doctors on Social Media (SoMeDocs) and Health Solutions Podcast. Her expertise has also appeared in The Wall Street Journal, NPR, Real Simple, Good Housekeeping, Family Circle, and Prevention. She is the recipient of the Florida Podiatric Medical Association's Physician of the Year Award and the award-winning author of Private Practice Solution and Doctor Do, Doctor Don't.
